I am aware that no-one visits this place anymore.. I will try and post more often. This will serve as a reminder of how my final year in college was.
Cryptic as it may seem, some people get enjoyment of treating others badly, yet when they are treated with the same attitude, they feel terrible. I hope that somehow, there was a secret to get people to open up and talk exactly how they feel.
Humans are a weird creature, and the human mind is weirder still. I wish I could truly understand how people think, and then figure out why I am so different from them, and then finally, how I could make them think I was more like them.
Btw, I still miss You a lot... There hasnt been a day I didnt think about you.. Here is a link people may like
I know I wanted to post for a long time, but i have got lazy.. lol For YPS ppl, go here to see the pics from my farewell party.
Other things, this week I finally got a scholarship!! SG$18,000/year Yeah!! Feel so good cos i really think I deserve it. Anyway that happiness was kinda short lived, I screwed up my tests. They were the revision things and I made the stupidest mistakes ever.
Since the tests are easy, one has to score 90% to get an A. (man I wish it was just 70%)
Other events, Yest went for a bbq at a lake, it was really nice. We had warm(comparatively to other days) weather and im sure there will be photos of that event somewhere. (i need to hunt for them). I had class till quite late so I went late for the event so i kinda missed out on the games that they played, but it was still interesting to see so many ppl and the lake is sooo beautiful. There were ducks in the lake too.
Anyway, Well I haven't spoken much about my classes have I? Basically, i have to redo everything I have already learnt. Its in greater detail though but its still more or less the same thing. However, I am messing up because I keep thinking the wrong things..
Anyway currently, I'm doing Mathematics for honor students(aka DIE). And general physics and general Chemistry. And a course on writing. Yes!! you have to continue to do English in Uni. Those teachers who tell you that GP is the last thing you will ever do for english are lying. You will have to do Writing(aka english) in uni. So yea..
So the thing is, i screwed up one physics test because i forgot that inertia exists. (i forgot that if you throw a ball from a car, it will travel at the same velocty as the car). And for physics, i did not put all my effort in the hw that was due and handed it in not done properly. So I pretty much screwed up a fraction of my phy score.(ie 2-3%)
Ok so leave that alone.
All right, i wanna post some picture and at present, i do not have any.. (i can search the web but that will be stupid) so ill wait till i get some and then post those)
Other things, I want food.. lol im officially tired of pizza and salad everyday. I want sth like maybe chicken rice or even food from the Sg Macs. The mac here tastes so different. Yup pizza is making me gain wait. and i do not find time to lose it. Talking about time, i will be starting to work in a short while. So i will have a bit of money to spend.. YEAH..
The pay here is good. Flexible hours(well not really). and US$8.25/hr Thats all for now.
Thanks Michael Lim, this blog was started by me as a reply to your letter.
Well it has been one hectic week since school started and I'm sure everyone back in Singapore is wondering how it is here. Well for one, uni life is indeed fun!! You get to manage your own money. (well maybe not if you decide to go to a uni where your parents are a stone's throw away) but generally this is true. And, you have SO much free time that you will spend most of it sleeping or just doing nothing. The part i like most however is that if you think you know the topic well enough, you have very little work to do.. Basically what I'm trying to say is that everyone will enjoy uni life..
Well lets just get to this place. I wish i had pictures, but ill try to describe it.
Unlike Singapore and other Asian countries which have a slight lack of space, US has an abundance of space. (this is obvious{at the place i stay in} as the mere sight of a tall building indicates that you are at the CBD)
I live in a state called Minnesota. In a city called Minneapolis. To those who watch the news, this place is exactly where the 35W bridge collapsed.
For those who want me to be more specific, It is about a 10-15 min walk from my room to the site of the collapsed bridge.
courtesy of google maps
To those who wanna know a bit more, look at the map, the whole grey area is my school (half of it actually as my school has 2 campuses)and the river that runs through(yes through) the school is the ever so impossible to spell Mississippi river.
Please leave tags if you want to hear about anything specific.
